No Better Present ~

Once again it’s the time,
 to celebrate Jesus’ birth
 a time to get caught up
 in all the holiday mirth.
And though I am grateful,
 for God’s Gift of my Savior
 His second coming now . . .
 I so much more would favor.
For there’s no other present,
 that I would rather receive
 then to be caught in the clouds
 and with Him take my leave.
And though I am thankful,
 for God’s Gift of His grace
 His return right now . . .
 my heart would so embrace.
For there’s nothing I want,
 more than God’s peace . . .
 but I don’t believe the chaos
 in this world will ever cease.
Once again it’s the time,
 to celebrate the birth of our King
 but I would rather observe . . .
 the calm, His return will bring!
