My hope doesn’t disappoint,
it never lets me down . . .
my hope is in the Lord
it’s always to be found.
It keeps me in perfect peace,
when around me there’s distress
it keeps me in God trusting
my faith it does not suppress.
My hope I’m not ashamed of,
it is my Life and my Way
my hope cannot be moved
by what other people say.
It keeps me focused,
on my eternal destiny
it fills my heart with joy
with vision’s heavenly.
My hope doesn’t disappoint,
it is my eternal goal . . .
my hope is the only thing
saving this wretched soul!

Blessed is the man
that trusteth in the Lord,
and whose hope the Lord is.

in perfect peace,
whose mind is stayed

trusteth in thee.
