my Shield, my Defender
may to Your power
my life I surrender.
For You are my Guard,
my Tower, my Protector
Your Word is to me
satan’s arrow deflector.
God, my Defense,
my Buckler, my Foothold
onto Your foundation
may I build my household.
For You are my Fortress,
my Security, my Safeguard
when Your righteous way
I heed and regard.
God, my Defense,
my Rock, my Foundation
You are my only hope . . .
for peace and salvation!
