to GOD be the GLORY
~ Focused ~
Lord, at times it’s hard to focus,
on what You have to say
with so many distractions
that come at me each day.
I open up my Bible,
but the pages seem to dull
and though I see the words
they don’t sink into my skull.
My mind begins to wander,
making it hard for me to see
the Way, Truth and the Life
that is right in front of me.
I struggle with my thoughts,
try to turn them just to You
but, then I start to think about
all the things that I must do.
Lord, at times it hard to focus,
on the things that really matter
there are so many diversions
causing my thoughts to scatter.
So, this morning I am praying,
You will help me out today
by keeping my heart fixed . . .
and my mind on You stayed!
