to GOD be the GLORY

~ While I Wait and See~

I do a lot of waiting,
while God is contemplating
the answers to my prayers
while going through my cares.

I do a lot of sitting,
while God begins sifting
the replies He has for me
in this seat of wait and see.

I do a lot of hoping,
while God starts His probing
into His correspondence
while pondering my response.

I do a lot of supposing,
while God is composing
what He’d have me to do
while I sit not knowing what to.

I do a lot of imagining,
while God is examining
how long I am willing
to be sitting here chilling!

I had fainted, unless
I had believed to see
the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.

Wait on the Lord:
be of good courage,
and he shall strengthen
thine heart: wait,
I say, on the Lord.
