~ On The Path To Perfection ~

I’m on the path to perfection,
I’ve got a long way to go
but, one day I know I’ll be
to God as good as gold.
I’ve had plenty of struggles,
on the path to perfection
there’s been a lot of battles
against sin and temptation.
I’ve left behind many tears,
on the path to perfection
but, each drop God gathered
and added to His collection.
I’ve had quite a few regrets,
on the path to perfection
for, I didn’t always seek God
for His will and direction.
It’s not been an easy-going,
on the path to perfection
but, it’s the only way I know
that leads to sanctification!

being much more precious than
of gold that perisheth, though
it be tried with fire, might be
found unto praise and honour
