to GOD be the GLORY

~ Losing A Child ~

I’ve been through the storm,
of losing a child . . .
I’ve felt the searing pain
in my heart run wild.

I’ve seen grief destroy,
the lives of those left behind
I’ve seen families become
scattered and realigned.

I’ve seen sorrow up close,
the look you can’t miss
I’ve seen how it leaves
a hopeless, grim abyss.

I’ve seen how heartbreak,
crushes even the strongest
I’ve seen with its callous hold
there is no real contest.

I’ve seen God’s hand,
reach down from above
and touch the broken-hearted
with His healing love!
