to GOD be the GLORY

~ Inside Out ~

Lord, You have searched my heart,
You know it inside out
You know where faith runs deep
and the potholes full of doubt.

You have looked into my mind,
You know all of its ups and downs
You know the ruts of fear
and the pockets of peace around.

You have looked into my thoughts,
You know the turbulence
You know the ebbs of calm
and the waves of nervousness.

You have looked into my soul,
You know its fragile stubbornness
You know when it’s softly pliable
and when it’s stiff with faithlessness.

Lord, You have searched my heart,
my mind, thoughts and my soul
and I know there’s so much more
for you to shape, form and mold!
