When night turns,
thoughts anxious
casting shadows
on fear’s canvas.
Turn to God,
to ease your mind
and His peace
you will find.
When night’s dread,
long fingers wrap
and your heart
it has in a trap.
Turn to God,
to release its grasp
and onto His calm
let your heart clasp.
When the night turns,
your thoughts anxious
cast them onto God . . .
and watch them vanish!
